大陸國家主席習近平和英國首相卡麥隆21日同意，共同構建中英面向21世紀的「全球全面戰略夥伴關係」，開啟持久、開放、共贏的中英關係「黃金時代」。習近平說，「期待英國做中國在西方最強支持者」，結果遭致美國總統歐巴馬批評英國不斷遷就中國削弱整個西方。這也顯示英國近來「傾中」的作為已經引發美國不滿，讓英國身陷中美兩強的「三角習題」中。

習近平訪問英國，與英國簽署了約400億英鎊的商業合約，但讓美國側目的是，它最堅定的盟邦決定與它最大的潛在競爭對手建立「全面戰略夥伴關係」。

時隔10年 陸元首訪英

據中新社報導，英國政府中樞唐寧街10號，21日迎來了時隔10年訪英的大陸元首；在這裡，習近平與卡麥隆舉行會談，見證雙邊合作文件簽署；會晤中，兩國領導人就雙邊關係及重大國際和地區熱點問題深入交換意見，達成重要共識，決定共同構建中英面向21世紀的「全球全面戰略夥伴關係」。

英國《金融時報》稱，上月，習近平訪美之前，歐巴馬曾警告準備就網路犯罪行為制裁中國，這與英國在習近平到訪時的場面形成鮮明對照；對於中英關係，美國歐亞集團亞洲業務主管、歐巴馬政府前亞洲事務最高顧問麥艾文稱，「英國在對華政策上誤入歧途。」

報導稱，美國一方面推動中美關係，但另一方面從人權到網路和南海等問題上，指責大陸，英國也被指責「為了貿易和贏得中國投資而出賣原則」；實際上，從英國宣布將加入亞投行後，美英關係就開始變差，歐巴馬政府抨擊英國「不斷遷就中國」；一名歐巴馬政府前官員稱，「英國不只是削弱了美國，它還削弱了整個G7（七大工業國）。」

香港《大公報》21日評論稱，一個不可否認的事實是，英國正全面「擁抱」中國大陸，同時調整了過往所遵循的對中乃至全球戰略，原因在於與中國強化關係，符合英國整體利益。

習近平與卡麥隆簽署的商業合約，包括備受關注的辛克利角（Hinkley Point）核電廠。習近平表示，「訪問期間我們達成了一系列重要成果，我同卡麥隆見證和將要簽署部分政府和企業間合作文件，包括中國企業參與英國辛克利角核電站項目，這是近年來中英合作的旗艦項目，將為今後雙方深化務實合作發揮示範作用。」
